Bulk modulus

Elastic "Bulk" modulus of porous material and corresponding loss factor are determined using specific device, in which a material sample is excited by an electrodynamic shaker controlled in displacement (laser transducer) and resulting force (load cell): from the Transfer Function measurement the F/S and "eta" values are measured. Poisson Ratio can also be measured using another Laser Velocimeter pointed on sample side.

The device ensemble for the SCS 902A system is also available as a separated set which can be connected to other acquisition and analysis system.
